Engineering activities and related technical consultancy
The company is primarily engaged in the provision of civil and transport engineering, and geotechnics services. It was founded in 1972 under the name of Centro de Estudios de Materiales y Control de Obra, S.A. Its headquarters is located in Malaga, Spain. The company handles projects and studies (feasibility studies, information studies, construction projects, and basic projects for tendering), and assistance (projects review and modifications drafting), as well as performs construction management, technical assistance (project control, topography, quality follow-up, implementation control, and budget control), and advising and solutions. In the field of geotechnics, its services are developed for civil engineering and building projects including, geotechnical investigations (damns, reservoirs and seaports), soil sampling and laboratory testing, instrumentation installation and monitoring with geotechnical instrumentation, special geotechnical tests, and geotechnical assistance both in the project and implementation stages of a construction work. Also, the company is involved in the provision of building services such as building quality control (project evaluation, materials quality control, control and supervision of work implementation, and risk analysis and prevention), building diagnosis and pathologies, and building engineering (foundations, structures, architecture design, facilities (including, plumbing, electricity, communications, gas, etc.), and urbanization. It also evaluates the suitability of the materials for the requested performance and particular use. The company serves a wide customers base which comprises public administration bodies, building developers, building contractors, suppliers and manufacturers, and consultancy and engineering companies. It works in partnership with Laboratorio Balear Para la Calidad SL, Control de Calidad, Laboratorio de Ensayos de Materiales, Cartodisa SA, Cartografía Digital, Ortofotos, Geodesia, Digitalización, and Desarrollo de Aplicaciones y Sistemas de Información Geografica (SiG).
